Grabbing the collar and leashes off from the hook on the wall Danielle looked at the four dogs that came running up to her. Waiting for the four of them to calm down she clipped the leash and collar around old Casey’s neck Dani gave the old dog a pat. Lilly was the neck one to be calm and she put the collar and leash on her. Simon sat and she clipped the combination on him. Looking down at Flame who was standing there she kneeled down and told him to sit. Once he did she put the collar and leash on him and gave him a pat. “Okay guys, off we go.” She said to the four dogs calmly.
Turning around she grabbed her keys before unlocking the door and opening it. Walking out first the four dogs followed her. Waiting for the apartment door to shut she put the key in the door and locked it. Letting her blue eyes look over to the dogs she headed towards the door for the stairs. Reaching the door she opened it with the dogs following her. Starting slowly down the stairs so each of the dogs could find how to go down without hitting each other. Feeling a tug on one of the leashes she stopped and looked back and saw Flame not sure what to do with the stairs. “Let’s go Flame.” She said with a soft tug of the leash getting him to start to come down. Getting to the bottom of the four flights she waited for Casey to finish coming down. The old Setter was good at coming down, but the last few always made her stiff. Once the four dogs were waiting she opened the outside door and started to walk towards the park at the beach.
As she walked down the sidewalk she wondered what her family was doing now. She hated leaving them all, but she knew they supported her choice to come to Cavendish. It was the best for her to get experience and learn how to compete at a higher level. Going through her family she knew her brothers and sisters would bring more fame and fortune to the family line. Her only hope was that she could make her family proud by being happy herself. Feeling a tug on her arm she left her thoughts and looked at Lilly who had her sites on a squirrel. “Later Lilly. Let’s just get to the beach.” She said and gave the brindle dog a tug back on the leash.
Reaching the enclosed area for the beach she opened the gate and went in, followed by the dogs, then closed the gate. Looking around to make sure there were no other dogs she took of their leashes, leaving their collars. Lilly ran straight off towards an animal of some sort followed by Simon. The two made quite a site; a Doberman chasing after a Silken after a prey animal. Casey walked off slowly but stayed close to Dani. Flame trotted around then ran – and fell over his feet – after Lilly and Simon. Patting Cass when she came up to her Dani walked towards the water. “Well Casey? Here we are. New place, new people, and new ways to learn. I hope you’ll help me on do well with the upcoming season.” She talked to the red Setter quietly who wagged her tail. Getting close enough to the water that the dogs could play in it and on the sand Dani looked around for a place to watch them from. Her blue eyes catching a couple rocks she went over to them and sat on the sand, leaning back against the rock. Finding a stick she waved it by Casey before throwing it. Smiling as the Irish Setter ran off to get it then joining the other three dogs in the water.

As the sun shone through the many windows, Vit glanced to his dog from the backdoor, watching as Taz, Gypsy, and Knight played a game of chance and play fighting. It was quite entertaining watching the three youngest of his dogs. It seemed as though they never ran out of energy. Unfortunately though, Vit got his hands on a nice small old house, that had a huge back yard when he moved here, which was perfect for his companions. Glancing to the simple clock that was mounted on the sea foam coloured wall of the kitchen, Vittorio smiled. Standing up from the worn wood kitchen table chair, his made his way over to the hooks were the dogs leashes (which were horse lead ropes) were hung, and took them all off their hooks. Then, grabbing a backpack, he put a bowl, two water bottles, doggie bags, a Frisbee and a ball into the bag. After Vit had packed the bag, he quickly put on his running shoes, and a grey hoodie over his navy blue t-shirt. After Vittorio had gotten himself ready, he glanced outside once again where his dogs were, and watched them for one more moment, before opening the back door and stepping outside, the four leashes in his hand. His dogs came running to him, crowding around him as they knew when they saw leashes, it meant it was time for a walk. Vittorio waited patiently, and like always Jagger was the first to sit and calm down. Vit clipped a black horse lead rope onto Jagger's leather collar, he waited forTaz, Gypsy, and Knight to settle down a bit more. Once the other three dogs were settle down, he quickly clipped them onto their leashes. Then, Vittorio lead the dogs back into the house, were he put his arms through the backpack, and then headed out the front door of his house, quickly locking it and making his way to the beach. As Vit made his way down the sidewalk, all his dogs behind him except Jagger who walked beside him, he took in the fresh air, and just felt happy to be here in Cavendish. It sort of reminded him of home, as the ocean was so close by and the community was fairly friendly with each other. Even though there were similarities, Vittorio still missed his home and family back and Spain. Maybe one day he just might end back up there. As he snapped himself out of his thoughts though, Vit keep his gaze on the scenery before, and as he felt one of his dogs behind him stop, he gently pulled on the leash and once again the four dogs and Vit were walking in sync again. As they made their way further and further through town, Vit and his four dogs finally made it to the enclosed beach. Glancing around the area, Vit set his eyes on an unfamiliar looking girl, and her dogs on the beach. Wondering when they got here, and where they came from. Smiling, Vit turned his gaze to his dogs who were all waiting patiently to enter the enclosure. Grinning, Vittorio opened the gate, and then closed the gate, letting his dogs off the leash one at a time as they calmed down, and glanced around. Waiting for the right moment to strike up a conversation with the girl, a soft smile playing on his lips. ____________________________________ Words: 570 Tagged: Vik/Dani Notes: Short, and boring.
